What Does Malawi Mean?
Among the noteworthy accomplishments of the final group of Bantu immigrants was the development of political states, or the introduction of centralized devices of government. They recognized the Maravi Confederacy about 1480. Through the sixteenth century the confederacy encompassed the better section of what is now central and southern Malawi, and, at the peak of its influence, during the 17th century, its here process of government afflicted peoples within the adjacent parts of present-working day Zambia and Mozambique.
